Factory color.5x SMD bulbs are 3-4 times brighter than a stock incandescent bulb with less heat.Dash rheostat will function to some extent in most cases (there are a lot of variables that could effect this). “5x” bulbs have 5 diodes in a cluster and are only included for dash illumination.Standard single diode LED bulbs are used elsewhere.“Brighter than stock incandescent bulb” claim is based on a measure of lumens between a stock incandescent bulb and an LED bulb.How much actual light makes it to the dash face is dependent on many factors other than just the bulb lumen output.
Note: bulb fit can be an issue with 65-67 kits due to the steel stamped bulb bases and the inconsistencies of the stamped steel bulb sockets.Strict attention to the installation instructions is highly recommended.
