The cherished vent window has been gone from most new cars for over thirty years and remains one of the unique joys of classic car ownership. However, it adds another location requiring a good seal for inclement weather. It is made of ethylene propylene diene monomer or EPDM, a modern synthetic rubber that has great durability and is resistant to the ozone and UV rays. The EPDM formula used for this vent window weatherstrip is very pliable allowing the vent glass to close easily and it has a weather-tight Teflon/latex coating for non-stick release.
